SeaKeeper 1000

SeaKeepers was founded by concerned yacht owners who wanted to create an ocean monitoring device to collect vital data to be used by scientists, academics, and governments.  The SeaKeeper 1000 unit is the successful result or their great vision.  After years of active data collection and approximately one hundred units deployed, the SeaKeeper 1000 is proving its effectiveness.

Originally designed for deployment on yachts, The SeaKeepers 1000 is also monitoring on buoys and research vessels for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for the U.S. National Marine Sanctuaries Program.  The National Hurricane Center also uses SeaKeeper 1000 data to assist in predicting hurricane and tropical storm direction and intensity.  Research vessels are continuously collecting valuable data.

As new innovation paves the way toward novel discoveries and inventions, the next generation of ocean monitoring devices is being studied.  The original concepts pioneered by SeaKeepers are still receiving acclaim and endorsement from leading scientific organizations and ocean monitoring, preservation, and restoration are SeaKeepers mission.  As the scientific needs change and advance, SeaKeepers will continue to innovate and keep pace technologically.
