SeaKeepers and Florida Gulf Coast University
Benefit in Naples - March 2010

Society Founders Brian and Denise Cobb hosted an ocean and environment dinner at the prestigious Naples Yacht Club to benefit both SeaKeepers and Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). The elegant evening raised funds to enable SeaKeepers to continue its data collection mission while equipping FGCU with a SeaKeeper 1000™ unit. Of particular concern and focus is collecting data to address a chronic scourge of the Gulf Coast known as Red Tide. Guests included members from around the U.S., as well as prominent local residents and faculty from FGCU’s Dept. of Marine and Ecological Sciences. With a gracious and enlightening commentary by FGCU President Wilson Bradshaw, the evening was a successful and joyous occasion.
