The Zoological Society of London (ZSL), the International Seakeepers Society and Pelagics Conservation successfully trialled a prototype low-cost camera designed to make deep-sea observation more accessible to the global scientific community.

The DISCOVERY Programme isn’t about asking owners to change the way they cruise. It’s about making the most of journeys already taking place.

The test formed part of the “Deep and Cheap” project, an international collaboration between the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), the International SeaKeepers Society and Pelagics Conservation, a marine conservation NGO based in Almerimar.

The event has attracted the backing of some of the world’s most recognized marine organizations, including PADI, SeaKeepers, and a number of international partners committed to advancing sustainable diving practices and marine conservation. 

With PADI and SeaKeepers as Presenting Ocean Research Partners, and support from other globally recognised marine organisations, the inaugural event is rapidly establishing itself as the Red Sea’s most-anticipated new industry gathering. 

The designation means eligible donations made to SeaKeepers Australia are tax deductible, creating a new pathway for individuals, businesses, vessel owners and the broader marine industry to contribute to the organisation’s work while receiving associated tax benefits.

We are pleased to announce that The International SeaKeepers Society Australian Charitable Trust is now officially a registered charity and endorsed Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).
