Monthly Hobie Beach Cleanup

On April 11th, 2021, it was a super windy day for us at Hobie Beach, but volunteers were not scared off by the rough seas or strong gusts! Volunteers averaged an impressive 10 pounds a bag and collected 9 bags for a total of 92.5 pounds! Thanks to everyone who came out during these windy conditions, Virginia Key is a little cleaner.

We found a bunch of bottle caps, and even an entire reusable water bottle, which we decided not to throw away. We love our volunteers and hope to see you back for another round next month!
