SeaKeepers Joins STEMTastic Adventures With Young Pacific Leaders in Fiji

From September 9–11, Alessandra Vallim, Programme Manager for the South Pacific at The International SeaKeepers Society, attended the STEMTastic Adventures With Young Pacific Leaders symposium. The event brought together over 100 participants from 10 Pacific Island nations, including Ministers of Education, universities, and NGOs, all working to strengthen STEM learning and innovation across the region.

Alessandra presented on current education projects in the South Pacific, sharing SeaKeepers’ work and building valuable connections with government representatives and regional partners. It was also great to see our IJSK partner Blue Nature Aotearoa present at the event, further strengthening collaborative ties. Ocean conservation was a strong theme throughout, with young leaders and educators exploring how education can be expanded in the South Pacific and how STEM can empower Pacific youth to protect their marine environments.
