Project Overview

On December 2, 2025, The International SeaKeepers Society joined students of King Edward’s School Witley for the final session of the International Junior SeaKeepers (IJSK) UK cohort. This programme offers students the unique opportunity to learn from marine science experts, participate in conservation projects, and develop scientific literacy, leadership skills, and the confidence to advocate for ocean protection within their communities.

During this concluding session, the students presented the projects they have been developing throughout the year. One group introduced their YouTube channel focused on sharks, aiming to dispel common misconceptions and highlight why these animals are vital, yet vulnerable, members of the ocean ecosystem. Another group showcased a children’s storybook, featuring three endangered species working together to tackle the challenges of climate change. They hope to publish this book and are fully supported by the school
The presentations were inspiring to see, as each project reflected topics and ideas the students had explored through the webinars they attended during the programme. Their work demonstrated both creativity and a thoughtful understanding of global marine issues. We wish the students the very best of luck as they continue to refine and complete their projects.
