International Junior SeaKeepers – Manta Trust Presentation

On 7 April, SeaKeepers was pleased to host an engaging presentation by Sanaa Nair from Manta Trust New Zealand, who delivered an inspiring session on manta rays in the South Pacific.

The presentation explored the ecological importance of manta rays, highlighting their role in maintaining healthy marine ecosystems and the challenges they face, including habitat degradation and human impacts. Students gained valuable insight into ongoing research and conservation efforts, as well as the importance of protecting these iconic species.

This session provided a meaningful opportunity for students to connect with real-world marine science and reinforced the programme’s focus on ocean conservation and stewardship.
