Earth Day at Jose Marti MAST 6-12 Academy

On April 22nd, 2026, The International SeaKeepers Society partnered with Jose Marti MAST 6-12 Academy to table at their annual Earth Day event. Our Educational Outreach team interacted with 89 students and 12 educators introducing SeaKeepers and our three hands-on activities: Earth Echo Water Challenge Kits, “Marine Trivia Jenga” and “Creatures on the Beach.” Throughout the event numerous students and educators inquired about SeaKeepers’ mission and how they could be involved from our Junior SeaKeepers Program to our monthly beach cleanups. Our team was delighted to reconnect with one of our JSKs from the 2024-25 cohort, a finalist for Local 10 News “Eco Hero: Down Under” Alexia Lorie, as well as three current JSKs participating in the event. We wanted to give a huge thank you to Jose Marti MAST for a great afternoon and hope to collaborate with them again soon!
