Event Overview

On March 24, 2026, The International SeaKeepers Society was present at the YCM Explorer Awards at the Yacht Club de Monaco, which formed part of the Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting initiative. The awards, organised by La Belle Classe Superyachts in partnership with Bombardier, UBS, and the SEA Index®, brought together the yachting community to highlight owners driving ocean conservation and sustainable yachting. The awards were presented by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and highlighted innovation and responsible practices across the sector.

The International SeaKeepers Society attended the event as a guest of Shadowcat to recognise and support those advancing ocean exploration, research, and conservation. SeaKeepers’ DISCOVERY vessels were acknowledged at the awards, including Plastic Odyssey, which won the Science and Exploration category. SeaKeepers would like to thank Jennifer Johnston Smith for the invitation to join SHADOWCAT in recognition of M/Y HODOR, a 66 m vessel listed among the 2026 finalists in the Innovation & Technology & Sciences & Exploration category. It was a night that recognised those who are committed to advancing ocean exploration, research and conservation. SeaKeepers would like to extend a very special thank you to Jennifer Johnston Smith who invited us to join her as SHADOWCAT vessel M/Y HODOR was recognised as a finalist in the Innovation & Technology & Sciences & Exploration category to highlight advances that enable more responsible exploration.
