Project Overview

On April 29 ,2026 The International Junior SeaKeepers Programme 2026 Graduation Ceremony and Project Showcase celebrated the achievements of the 21 students who formed this yearโ€™s SeaKeepers Asia cohort. From Nan Hua High School, XCL World Academy, St. Joseph’s Institution, and Raffles Institution, the students completed an enriching four-month programme running from January through April 2026.

The curriculum explored key themes including Ocean Literacy and Communication, Research and Technology, and Marine Biodiversity and Human Impact. Through a blend of online webinars, in-person activities, and experiential learning journeys, students deepened their understanding of marine conservation while developing research, communication, and leadership skills.

The programme was further enriched by an inspiring lineup of guest speakers from the UK, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United States, and Singapore, who shared diverse perspectives and expertise across the programmeโ€™s various sections.

This yearโ€™s Science Communication Projects addressed pressing environmental topics including overfishing, consumer choices and sustainable seafood, water quality testing, plastic pollution, AI and global warming, and the threats facing coral reefs. Students approached their projects with remarkable dedication, conducting independent research, water quality tests, feedback surveys, and educational workshops as part of their project development process.

Certificates of Completion were presented during the Graduation Ceremony and Project Showcase, recognising the studentsโ€™ hard work, teamwork, and commitment throughout the programme. The top three project teams, along with two outstanding students, were also recognised with a special reward โ€” a day of fun and learning through a recycling workshop experience.

SeaKeepers Asia extends its heartfelt congratulations to the 2026 cohort and sincere appreciation to Xin Teck and to the Legacy Partners whose generous support made the programme possible: Tan Chia Hoong, Grace Wu, Datuk Seri Y S Goh, Enayetullah Khan, and Grace Guo.
