SeaKeepers and OFI Host Conservation Reception

On May 7, 2026, The International SeaKeepers Society partnered with Ocean First Institute for “An Evening in Support of Ocean Conservation,” a reception hosted by Lifetime Work in Coral Gables, Florida. The event brought together supporters, professionals, and members of the local community for an evening focused on ocean conservation, research, education, and collaboration.

Guests heard special remarks from Dr. Mikki McComb-Kobza, CEO and Chief Scientist of Ocean First Institute, highlighting the organization’s work to advance marine science, conservation, and public education initiatives. SeaKeepers also shared how its DISCOVERY Program supports projects like these by connecting researchers with privately owned vessels that serve as platforms for scientific research and outreach activities around the world.

The evening provided an opportunity to strengthen partnerships between the scientific, nonprofit, and yachting communities while fostering discussion around the importance of collaborative efforts in protecting marine ecosystems.
