The International SeaKeepers Society Asia Chapter, established in 2015, promotes ocean conservation by collaborating with local communities, experts, and the yachting industry. Led by Gail Tay, Director of Operations & Programmes, and Julian Chang, President of SeaKeepers Asia, the chapter focuses on expanding global programmes and creating region-specific initiatives.

Through the DISCOVERY Programme, boat and yacht owners support marine research and citizen science. SeaKeepers Asia also offers educational outreach, community engagement, and events like The Ocean Collective Summit (TOCS), coral protection, and the Asia Awards. Dedicated volunteers drive SeaKeepers’ mission: Research. Educate. Protect. Restore.

What is the DISCOVERY Programme?
The DISCOVERY Programme is SeaKeepers’ core initiative. The programme facilitates marine research and education through partnerships with boating and academic communities around the world. Scientific and educational expeditions are coordinated through the generosity of vessel owners willing to contribute their vessels, time, and expertise.

The program accepts vessels of any size, and owners may earn tax benefits and recognition at SeaKeepers events, on the website, and within newsletters.
Where does SeaKeepers operate?
SeaKeepers is an international nonprofit and our marine research and educational programmes are conducted all around the world. Global operations are coordinated from SeaKeepers USA, based in Florida, with the following regional chapters: SeaKeepers South Pacific (Auckland), SeaKeepers UK (London), and SeaKeepers Asia (Singapore and Dhaka).
