SeaKeepers attend Boot Düsseldorf

On 24 January 2026, The International SeaKeepers Society attended Boot Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf, Germany for the third year running. This show continues to expand SeaKeepers European programming. SeaKeepers Director of International Relations, Gill Rodrigues joined a panel discussion at the Blue Innovation Dock titled “Harnessing collective knowledge: Inspiring citizen science initiatives”. alongside Dr Udo Engelhardt, Lisa Picatto, Kristin Recke and Steffen Knodt. The session aligned with wider conversations at Boot Düsseldorf around collective action, ocean stewardship, and the responsibility of the global boating community to support scientific research. SeaKeepers also joined DISCOVERY Programme partner Pantaenius at their stands in Halls 7 and 10 to explore opportunities for the year ahead.
Boot Düsseldorf marked SeaKeepers’ first major show of 2026. The event welcomed representatives from more than 100 countries and is recognised as one of the world’s largest yacht and watersports fairs. In partnership with the European Boating Industry, the show placed a strong emphasis on marine conservation, innovation, and sustainable technologies. The Blue Innovation Dock is regarded as a leading European platform. It brings together political decision-makers, industry leaders, innovators, and water sports enthusiasts to help shape the future of the maritime sector.
The International SeaKeepers Society attended Boot Düsseldorf 2026 to share the DISCOVERY Programme and highlight its citizen science initiatives. The event demonstrated how collaboration between industry, policymakers, and the next generation can support a sustainable, competitive, and future-proof maritime industry. These efforts also help advance global ocean research through the active participation of the boating community.
