SeaKeepers South Pacific at the Auckland Boat Show
- March 5-8, 2026
- Auckland, New Zealand
Event Overview
From the 5th-8th of March, 2026, Melissa White, Director of SeaKeepers South Pacific, Rosie Fowler, Development Director, and Lance Sheppard, South Pacific Trustee, attended the Auckland Boat Show held at Jellicoe Harbour on Auckland’s waterfront. The show is one of New Zealand’s largest marine events, bringing together boat builders, marine technology companies, industry leaders, and boating enthusiasts from across the country and internationally. The event provides an important platform for showcasing innovation in the marine sector while also highlighting sustainability initiatives and ocean stewardship within the industry.
During the show, the SeaKeepers team spent time reconnecting with a number of valued partners including Pantaenius Australia, Propspeed, Ocean Media, The Superyacht People, Naut, and others within the marine community. The event also created opportunities to meet new potential collaborators interested in supporting SeaKeepers’ citizen science and ocean conservation initiatives.
A highlight of the show was the opportunity to visit two superyachts with Cam Bray from The Superyacht People. Both vessels later signed on as DISCOVERY Yachts, joining SeaKeepers’ global fleet of vessels supporting ocean science. In addition, two other vessels outside of the show were also confirmed as DISCOVERY Yachts during the same period. The Auckland Boat Show proved to be a valuable few days filled with education, networking, and strengthening partnerships while continuing to grow participation in SeaKeepers programs across the region.
