SeaKeepers South Pacific Attends 2026 Australia Fiji Rendezvous

Fiji

Event Overview

From August 12โ€“14, 2026, Melissa White, Director of SeaKeepers South Pacific, attended the Australia Fiji Rendezvous hosted by Superyacht Australia in Fiji. Now in its sixth year, the three-day event brought together marine industry representatives from Australia and across the wider Asia-Pacific region with superyacht captains and crew currently cruising Fiji and the South Pacific. The event provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships across the industry and connect directly with vessels operating in the region.

In Denarau, Melissa took part in the dock walk at Port Denarau Marina, where 23 visiting vessels were present. With the marina busy with superyachts cruising the region, the dock walk provided an opportunity to meet directly with captains and crew, introduce them to SeaKeepers South Pacific and discuss ways their vessels could become involved. Conversations focused on Scientist-Led Expeditions, citizen science initiatives and participation in the DISCOVERY Programme.

The event also included the Echo Yachts Captains’ Lunch, providing another opportunity to connect with captains and marine businesses from across the region. The Rendezvous concluded with the Investment Fiji-sponsored Crew Cocktail Competition and networking event, which brought together 86 crew from visiting vessels. Five yacht crews competed in the ocean-side cocktail competition, creating a lively final event and another opportunity to engage directly with crew operating throughout Fiji and the wider South Pacific.

For SeaKeepers South Pacific, the Rendezvous was a valuable opportunity to build new relationships with vessels actively cruising Fiji while strengthening existing connections across the superyacht industry. Several captains expressed interest in becoming involved with SeaKeepers programs, creating new opportunities to expand vessel participation in Fiji and across the wider South Pacific.
