The Golding’s Corporate Engagement Awards
- September 17, 2025
- London, United Kingdom
Event Overview
On September 17, 2025, The International SeaKeepers Society attended the Corporate Engagement Awards 2025 at the Underglobe, Shakespeare’s Globe, in London, where alongside Mike Golding OBE, SeaKeepers received Gold Awards for Best Pro-Bono Work for a Charitable, Social or Ethical Cause and for the Most Innovative Collaboration under Corporate Social Responsibility. The recognition highlighted a collaboration that began when Mike Golding joined Seakeepers as our keynote speaker during the launch of SeaKeepers UK Chapter in 2023 and subsequently joined the DISCOVERY Programme. Over the past year, Mike and Andrea Golding sailed from New Zealand to the Mediterranean Sea via the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic Oceans, on board DV Traverse. As they travelled, the Goldings supported ocean research, conservation, and education as part of SeaKeepers’ DISCOVERY Fleet, providing a platform for researchers to conduct their studies as Scientist-Led Expeditions, collecting data themselves as Citizen Scientists, and inspiring local communities to better protect the marine environment . The Goldings exemplify what it means to be a SeaKeepers DISCOVERY Vessel, showcasing how how private vessels can play their part in advancing marine science.
The International SeaKeepers Society attended the Corporate Engagement Awards 2025 to honour and highlight the success of its partnership with Mike and Andrea Golding, whose efforts exemplify how the DISCOVERY Programme helps drive meaningful progress in ocean research.
