- November 17 - 18, 2025
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
Event Overview
On November 17–18, 2025, The International SeaKeepers Society attended The Superyacht Forum 2025 at the RAI in Amsterdam. More than 900 delegates gathered to examine emerging trends, new opportunities for collaboration, and regulatory changes that are shaping the future of the superyacht industry. The event offered a good opportunity to network and breakout sessions that encouraged open discussions about sector challenges. The highlight was a keynote from Blue Economy author, Gunter Pauli. He stressed the importance of ocean-focused sustainability and introduced Porrima, his hydrogen, solar, and kite-powered research vessel, which is set to inspire a fleet of 100 similar ships, including hospital vessels. The second day addressed environmental and regulatory issues, with particular attention given to the IMO’s one-year delay of its Net Zero Framework. Speakers viewed the change as an opportunity to strengthen international coordination and establish clearer global standards.
The International SeaKeepers Society attended The Superyacht Forum 2025 to learn more about emerging environmental sustainability practices and regulatory developments, ensuring the DISCOVERY Programme remains informed, relevant, and aligned with the evolving superyacht industry.
