Project Overview
On October 6th, 2026, The International SeaKeepers Society returned to Belen Jesuit Preparatory to teach 41 students in the Middle School Fishing Club about fish physiology. Our Educational Outreach team started off by reintroducing SeaKeepers and leading an interactive discussion into the core concepts of physiology. Our students were successfully able to understand the main physiologic components of each organism, function of each appendage, and distinguish these aspects in various scenarios. Delving into prey vs predator, speed vs agility, and various sizing differences these students continued to surprise our team with their prior knowledge, in-depth questions, and overall eagerness to learn more about ocean ecosystems and their many creatures. We give a huge thank you to Belen Jesuit for hosting us once again, and look forward to future collaborations very soon!
