Project Overview

On February 18, 2026, The International SeaKeepers Society hosted our sixth workshop of the 2025-26 program, this time focused on how to properly build and organize a resume as well as how to locate professional development and marine science employment opportunities. Our Educational Outreach Manager, Jack, led a discussion on some tips and tricks to make resumes stand out more as scientists, including the usage of key action verbs, diversifying verbiage, and what kinds of relevant skills to include versus ignore on specific types of resumes or CVs. Our JSKs then got to put their newly acquired knowledge to the test by practicing wording their time as Junior SeaKeepers into a few succinct bullet points they could use for their resumes going forward. We finished our day with an open Q&A, fielding questions about everything we discussed and helping individual students with their specific resumes or employment opportunities. We thank the JSKs for their hard work and great questions as always!
