NUS CAPT Orientation Programme
- July 31 , 2025
- Singapore, Singapore
Project Overview
On July 31 , as part of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Orientation Week for students from CAPT, SeaKeepers Asia played a key role as a community partner in an immersive learning experience at ONE°15 Marina on Sentosa. The session introduced students to Singapore’s marine conservation landscape, highlighting how collaboration across organisations drives impact.
SKA contributed by sharing its work in educational outreach, research, and community engagement through citizen science and partnerships with the boating community. Through a short presentation and participation in a moderated discussion, SKA offered students insights into real-world conservation challenges and solutions.
The programme also included guided site visits to DISCOVERY Yacht Legend, the One15 Marina- SeaKeepers Asia Coral Garden, and the innovative CollecThor system, allowing students to see conservation in action. SKA’s involvement enriched the experience by connecting theory with practice, inspiring students to understand and contribute to protecting Singapore’s marine ecosystems.
