Project Overview

On October 9th, 2026, The International SeaKeepers Society hosted a series of virtual lessons with JFK Middle School. With 48 incredible students present, our Educational Outreach team Jack, Lillian, and Soline led an interactive presentation into South Florida’s coastal habitats. We explored numerous traits of each ecosystem such as location, distribution, services, and threats. Our students were able to expand upon every detail with specific questions pertaining to animal and ecosystem adaptations. Throughout the lesson our students were able to continuously connect previous knowledge of our coastal ecosystems with our presentation, and even how they can help moving forward. We want to give a huge thank you to the wonderful students and educators of JFK Middle School and look forward to more collaborations in the near future!
