Applications for the 2025–2026 International Junior SeaKeepers Programme are now open. Apply by December 5th and secure your spot!
Overview
The International Junior SeaKeepers (IJSK) Programme is designed to equip students in the United Kingdom, Singapore, and New Zealand with the knowledge and skills necessary to become leaders in marine conservation. Offered to English-speaking youth ages 14 to 18, students gain an in-depth understanding of critical ocean issues and the scientific and policy-driven approaches to addressing them.
Through mentorship from global marine science experts and conservation projects, students develop scientific literacy, leadership skills, and the confidence to advocate for ocean protection within their own communities. Offered at no cost to participants, IJSK is designed to ensure access for all young people, regardless of background – requiring only time, curiosity, and passion for the ocean.
Each IJSK chapter is adapted to its marine environment and educational context: United Kingdom, Singapore, and New Zealand.
Through IJSK, every student becomes part of a global movement to protect and preserve our ocean — proving that meaningful change begins with education, passion, and a shared love for the sea.
