Soline was born in Washington, D.C., but spent most of her life in Miami, where her proximity to the ocean sparked a lasting passion for marine biology. This led her to pursue her Bachelor’s of Science in Marine Biology from Florida International University, where she developed a strong foundation in marine science. She also recently graduated from the University of Miami with a Master’s degree in Marine Mammal Science. During her graduate studies, she completed a marine mammal rehabilitation internship with SeaLife Response, Rehabilitation, and Research (SR3), gaining hands-on experience in animal care and rehabilitation. She also worked extensively in marine science education through the University of Miami’s WAVES program, combining scientific knowledge with public outreach and education. Through these experiences, Soline discovered a strong passion for both rehabilitation and education, which led her to join the International SeaKeepers Society as an Education Assistant.
