Palma International Boat Show 2025
Palma, Mallorca
April 30 - May 3, 2025
Overview
Between April 30th - May 3rd, 2025, The International SeaKeepers Society attended the Palma International Boat Show. This show traditionally kicks off the Mediterranean season and is always a wonderful opportunity to sit down with industry partners to plan the year ahead. This year was a larger than ever show, hosting a series of industry events that connected SeaKeepers with supporters from all over the world.
We were invited to speak in the ACREW Palma Superyacht Village, Crew Lounge, in Marina Moll Vell. The panel session was entitled Science Meets Superyachts: Expeditions with a Mission. Joining SeaKeepers was Matthew Zimmerman of FarSounder and Captain Maiwenn Beadle, known to all as The Accidental Ice Queen. It was an engaging conversation moderated by Onno Ebbens who opened with the question. “What role do yachts play in rewriting the story of ocean exploration?” We discussed what defines an expedition yacht today and the importance of scientific partnerships and the yachting communities ongoing support for research & discovery.
It was a pleasure to spend so much time with industry representatives and we must thank AON & The Isle of Man Ship Registry for their warm hospitality in the Super Yacht Lounge, which became a central point for meetings throughout the week.
