Project Overview

On March 2nd, 2017, The International SeaKeepers Society participated in a marine fish survey aboard DISCOVERY Yacht Lojo as part of the Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) volunteer survey. By snorkeling, participants surveyed sites in Western Sambo reef in the Florida Keys. Various species of reef fish were identified and their numbers were counted to help identify the biodiversity of the region. REEF is a grass-roots organization that works to support marine conservation through education and the involvement of non-scientists.
