NEW MARINA PARTNERSHIPS EXPAND OPPORTUNITIES FOR OCEAN RESEARCH, CONSERVATION, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACROSS AUCKLAND’S WATERFRONT
Auckland, New Zealand, July 2026 – SeaKeepers South Pacific is pleased to announce Auckland Central Marina, Silo Marina, and Westhaven Marina as its newest Marina Partners, further expanding a growing network of waterfront organisations committed to advancing marine science, ocean conservation, education, and sustainability throughout the South Pacific.
Through these new partnerships, SeaKeepers South Pacific will work alongside the three iconic Auckland Council marinas to engage vessel owners, marina users, and the wider boating community in supporting scientific research, citizen science initiatives, educational outreach, and marine conservation programs.

Situated in the heart of downtown Auckland, Auckland Central Marina provides convenient access to the Hauraki Gulf while connecting visitors to the city’s commercial, hospitality, and transport precincts.
Located within the vibrant Wynyard Quarter precinct, Silo Marina is New Zealand’s premier superyacht marina, welcoming vessels from around the world and offering world-class facilities for the international yachting community.
Westhaven Marina, the largest recreational marina in the Southern Hemisphere, has long been a cornerstone of Auckland’s reputation as a world-class boating hub, serving thousands of recreational boaters and providing access to some of New Zealand’s most renowned cruising grounds.
As Marina Partners, Auckland Central Marina, Silo Marina, and Westhaven Marina will help promote SeaKeepers South Pacific’s Discovery Program, Citizen Science initiatives, scientific expeditions, educational outreach activities, and community engagement opportunities, encouraging more members of the boating community to become active participants in protecting and better understanding the marine environment.
