Overview
The International SeaKeepers Society joined the international yachting community for the launch of the America’s Cup Superyacht Programme (ACSY) in Barcelona. As a long-time programme partner, SeaKeepers attended as BWA Yachting’s special guest, along with over 300 yacht owners, captains, local and international authorities and international press. The highlight of the evening was hearing from key people involved in the Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup. Tucker Thompson, the award winning voice of five Americas Cups, was the host for the evening introducing team representatives teams including INEOS Britannia, Alinghi Red Bull Racing, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, NYYC American Magic, Orient Express Racing Team, Sail BCN Women’s Team & Youth Team. Grant Dalton from ACE & The Emirates Team New Zealand joined the event via a video link. Leslie Ryan, the Event Director from ACE Barcelona and organiser of the Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup provided fascinating insights into this year’s event, and Jordi Puig, Elected President of Real Club Nautic de Barcelona (RCNB), shared updates on what we can expect from the AC37 & the RCNB. BWA Yachting provided information on SeaKeepers DISCOVERY Yacht Programme through DISCOVERY Yacht brochures in the gift bags and announced us as their long-term ocean conservation partner. They took the opportunity to highlight our mission to the audience.
Outing Goal:
The International SeaKeepers Society attended the launch of the America’s Cup Superyacht Programme (ACSY) in Barcelona to promote our global mission and to highlight our long-term partnership with BWA Yachting around the world.
