Biscayne Bay Health Summit

Overview

At this event, the International SeaKeepers Society's programming team attended presentations and panels where they learned about the current reports on the health of Biscayne Bay. Along with members of local Florida government, academic institutions, and other non-governmental organizations in Miami, our team heard about efforts being made to improve our interaction with the Bay. The new Leave No Trace policy which has taken effect on the islands within the Bay was discussed and members of our team got to participate in workshops to brainstorm best practices moving forward. All in all, this was a successful summit, and our team looks forward to continued efforts to engage the local community in stewardship.
