Biscayne Nature Center Educator Environmental Symposium

Overview

On Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, The International SeaKeepers Society's Director of Education & Outreach, Toni Lohroff, participated in the 2025 Educator Environmental Symposium organized by the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center in partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. As a part of this event, SeaKeepers tabled with almost 20 other South Florida conservation education organizations and spoke with around 75 local educators, largely from Miami-Dade County Public Schools, about our completely free educational offerings. Some of our promoted programs include floating classrooms, classroom presentations, digital lesson plans, and our Junior SeaKeepers program, amongst others. Our work seemed to be well received and we look forward to the opportunity to serve more South Florida students and educators with free environmental conservation education programming in the upcoming school years!
