Overview

On July 9, 2024, The International SeaKeepers Society joined Cookson Adventures for an evening of conservation at London’s Royal Geographical Society. The evening showcased the premier of Cookson Adventures short film ‘Keystone: How to Move a Rhino’. This documentary went behind the scenes of one of the largest rhino translocations at Kenya’s Ol Jogi Wildlife Conservancy. The film gave an overview of what lengths conservationists will go to protect an at-risk species. The expert panel discussion and Q&A session was chaired by filmmaker Matt Pycroft, panellists included National Geographic explorer and biologist Niall McCann, conservationist Jamie Gaymer and Cookson Adventures founder Henry Cookson. A key focus of the evening was to illustrate how tourism can be more effectively used to highlight the plight of our natural environment and to potentially fund scientific research and facilitate groundbreaking wildlife projects.

The International SeaKeepers Society attended the Royal Geographical society to network with conservation experts, activists and enthusiasts and to share our global mission and our DISCOVERY Yacht programme.
