Dive Against Debris Dive Cleanup

On April 17th, 2021, we cohosted a Dive Against Debris, with Sea Experience, that marked our first dive cleanup of the season! The event included two dives. The first was at a site called "Hog Heaven," a large wreck where attendees found lots of fishing line and plastic pallet straps. The second site was a long reef track called "the Caves" which was a drift dive with less obvious trash.

Originally, about 12 volunteers signed up, but other divers on the trip jumped in to help out as well! At the end of the day, we had two large bags filled with about 20 lbs of marine debris. We had a great time and are looking forward to the next dive cleanup!
