West Palm Beach, FL
March 22, 2024

Overview

On March 22nd, 2024, Tony Gilbert, Chief Programs Officer of The International SeaKeepers Society joined Robert Van Tol, Executive Director of Water Revolution Foundation, and Lauren Wardley, Founder and CEO of Ethical Yacht Wear for a Sustainability Seminar in the Windward V.I.P. Loundge. In this seminar, all three organizations discussed the crucial topics of supporting oceanographic research, sustainable practices in yachting, and the operational life cycle of yachts and how best to engineer or refit yachts to have the least possible impact on the environment. There was also a Q&A session wherein audience members were able to engage directly with the presenters.

Outing Goal

The International SeaKeepers Society strives to always bring awareness about its programs and those of other environmental conservation groups to as wide an audience as possible. Seminars at boat shows, such as this one, focus on the yachting industry, which in most cases is a direct link to the owners, captains, and crew which make up our DISCOVERY Yacht Fleet.
