Livestream Feasibility with The Ocean Lab

On October 24th, 2021, The International SeaKeepers Society assisted Bethy Driscoll of The Ocean Lab (theoceanlab.com) in the waters off of Key Largo, FL aboard DISCOVERY Vessel Miss Sophia, a 35' Wellcraft center console, owned and operated by Jeffrey Pankey, founder of Seas Your Dreams.

The goal of this outing was to conduct upload and download speed tests at a couple different reef sites, so that The Ocean Lab can then return to those sites to livestream from underwater to classrooms worldwide. This is part of their inititative to bring the ocean to students who are either landlocked or otherwise would not have access to diving and snorkeling. As SeaKeepers has been increasing it's footprint in the education arena, we were more than happy to help The Ocean Lab in it's educational outreach efforts.
