Singapore, Singapore
June 27, 2025
Overview
On June 27, the International Junior SeaKeepers Program (IJSKP) held its first-ever in-person meet-up for the programme cohort in Singapore. Taking place during the students’ school holidays, the session brought together the very first team of youth for an afternoon of connection and collaboration.
The meet-up was a key moment in the IJSKP journey, allowing students to meet the SeaKeepers Asia team and each other, and building a collaborative team spirit.
During the session, students received their official programme t-shirts, hats and water bottles, adding to the excitement and sense of belonging. The afternoon also included a check-in on each student’s engagement with the programme so far, along with an open discussion about their Science Communication PSA Projects—an essential part of the IJSKP experience in building science communication skills by turning complex marine science topics into clear, compelling messages for public audiences
The International Junior SeaKeepers Programme offers students an immersive experience in ocean conservation. Through expert-led webinars, workshops, and hands-on activities, participants gain a deeper understanding of environmental issues while actively contributing to solutions.
