Mike Golding Award

Overview

The International SeaKeepers Society presented Mike Golding OBE and Andrea Golding with a SeaKeepers award to recognise their participation in the DISCOVERY programme and their valuable contribution to marine conservation. Due to being on expedition in the Indian Ocean, Mike Golding OBE was unable to attend SeaKeepers signature event, Founders, in Fort Lauderdale this year. This annual event honours outstanding leadership in marine conservation and recognises the DISCOVERY Yacht Fleet, which has supported SeaKeepers programming throughout the year. Instead, SeaKeepers met Mike & Andrea at home in the UK as they prepared to re-join DY TRAVERSE in Cape Town. This month they will sail with a new crew to Namibia and on to Cabo Verde where they will continue to support ocean research and conservation as a SeaKeepers DISCOVERY yacht. Congratulations DY TRAVERSE. Now on to the next part of your adventure.
