Park and Kayak Cleanup

On March 21st, 2021, we had a cleanup at Morningside Park and it was a blast! We picked up a total of 152.5 pounds of trash, with a lot of interesting items such as an inflatable raft and a huge plastic storage bin. Not only did our volunteers get deep into the mangroves, but they also kayaked across the Biscayne Bay to an island where they brought back a bunch of trash! Even better, we got a visit from a pod of dolphins who were no doubt happy we are keeping trash out of their ocean habitat!

Thanks to everyone who came and spent their beautiful Sunday afternoon cleaning up the beach with us, we hope to see you at our next cleanup!
