SeaKeepers at Coral Gables Senior High School Volunteer Resource Fair
Coral Gables, Florida
March 14, 2024
Overview
On Thursday, March 14th, The International SeaKeepers Society’s Education and Community Engagement teams visited Coral Gables Senior High School for a volunteer resource fair hosted by the Political Activism and Civic Engagement (PACE) club. We were accompanied by many other school clubs and local organizations invited to present their work and engagement opportunities to the students. After hearing from Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, the students were invited to walk around and learn about the organizations present. Throughout the morning, SeaKeepers interacted with about 300 hundred high school students who learned about our organization’s mission and program opportunities, specifically our coastal cleanups. We hope to see these students join our team of SeaKeepers volunteers at future shoreline cleanups!
