SeaKeepers South Pacific at Moana Fest Sustainability
Auckland, New Zealand
February 22 - 23, 2025
Overview
On February 22nd and 23rd, The International SeaKeepers Society was proud to take part in Moana Fest Sustainability, with our South Pacific Program Assistant, Alex and volunteer Maria representing the chapter. The event brought together a vibrant community of ocean advocates, families, and curious young minds, all eager to learn more about marine conservation.
It was inspiring to see so many people interested in the work we do, from citizen science initiatives to science-led expeditions especially interested in our education projects. Beyond engaging with the public, we had the opportunity to connect with other organizations exhibiting at the event, many of whom expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with SeaKeepers in the future. It was also a great chance to catch up in person with some of our existing partners and strengthen those relationships.
Moana Fest Sustainability was a fantastic opportunity to share our mission, build connections, and inspire the next generation of ocean stewards. We’re looking forward to continuing these conversations and expanding our impact in the South Pacific!
