SeaKeepers South Pacific Attends World Hydrography Day Seminar

Overview

On the 11th of July, Alessandra Vallim, Program Assistant of the South Pacific chapter of the International SeaKeepers Society, attended the World Hydrography Day Seminar in Auckland at the Devonport Naval Base. The seminar featured discussions on ongoing research and projects aimed at promoting the science of surveying in saltwater and freshwater environments, as well as related sciences. Among the highlights was a presentation from NIWA on the Seabed 2030 project, a significant initiative in which SeaKeepers is actively involved. During the event, Alessandra engaged with various attendees, sharing information about SeaKeepers' initiatives. This interaction highlighted potential opportunities for collaborative projects in the future, further enhancing the reach and impact of SeaKeepers' mission.
