Falmouth, Cornwall
April 14-15, 2022

Overview

SeaKeepers' lead of International Partnerships, Gill Rodrigues, met with Falmouth Harbour Commissioners in Cornwall on April 14 & 15, 2022. Falmouth is a statutory port authority with responsibility for the Inner Harbour at Falmouth Harbour, the Penryn River up as far as Coastlines Wharf, the southern part of the Carrick Roads, and a large part of Falmouth Bay. In recent months, SeaKeepers has begun a discussion on the DISCOVERY Yacht Program and discussing support for their work in ocean sustainability, research and education.

As SeaKeepers expands its mission in the United Kingdom, partnerships such as these are invaluable and we look forward to working with more international marinas. It was a great opportunity to meet Vicki Spooner, Environment and Quality Systems Manager at Falmouth Harbour, and to meet young ocean ambassadors in action at the dockside. We are proud to collaborate with Falmouth, a beautiful harbour proud to protect and regenerate the marine environment.
