Women in STEM Panel at Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart
Miami, Florida
February 27, 2023
Overview
On Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, SeaKeepers' Education Manager, Toni Lohroff, spoke as a part of a Women in STEM panel at Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami, Florida. Carrollton is a Catholic, all-girls Montessori-3 through Grade 12 college preparatory school whose mission is to educate women leaders in the Sacred Heart tradition. As a part of the panel, Toni spoke about her experiences in STEM that have gotten her to where she is in her career along with three other amazing women who work in medicine and engineering in the local community. In attendance at the event were almost 500 students in grades 7-12 as a part of an ongoing assembly series from Carrollton's Science National Honors Society. SeaKeepers was thrilled to be a part of inspiring young women in the local community to explore exciting futures in careers like marine science, community engagement, yachting, and more! We look forward to continuing to engage with Carrollton and its students through our Education and Outreach programs and hope to see more Carrollton women at future SeaKeepers community events.
