The International SeaKeepers Society teamed up with Our Singapore Reefs to clean up the reefs in Lazarus Island in celebration of World Oceans Day. This effort was part of Singapore’s first coordinated underwater clean up to commemorate the global event. The team not only retrieved 25 items weighing over one kilogram of underwater debris, but also three bags and two baskets full of surface trash which includes plastic bottles, bottle caps, straws and any Styrofoam pieces.
